The new skate park was funded by grants awarded to The Friends of Lowndes Park and funding from Chesham Town Council. Following a consultation with both potential users and neighbours, Freestyle Skateparks was selected as the contractors to design and install the facility.

Review from skatesandladders.com:
A smooth, concrete construction in Lowndes Park, Chesham. Designed with flow and lines in mind, with the right approach, you can keep going round for ages.
The main section features a hip, a driveway, a large quarter and a roll-in. Whilst the concrete is very smooth, is quite difficult for beginners due to the size and transition gradient of the hip and the large quarter, which is just a bit too sharp and short.
The mini ramp is about 5ft. high and is ideal for learning new tricks and having a session – this also features a 6ft. extension at one end. The coping is perfect, just so that it doesn’t catch your wheels when grinding.
Overall, well designed park that’s great on a lazy afternoon!
