It is with great sadness that we learned about the death of David Carter.
David was a founder member of the Friends of Lowndes Park, since we began in 2007.
When I set up the Friends, I was not so linked into the various groups and organisation that existed
in Chesham at that time.
David came to the very first meeting and almost immediately made himself indispensable.
Whenever I had a problem or challenge, I would always turn to David.
David proffered advice in a quiet unassuming fashion, but was always to the point and his advice was
impeccable.
When David stepped back, he was still a great supporter of the Friends and he and his wife Sheila
could often be seen working in all weathers, on the shrub borders in Lowndes Park.
I will miss David very much for his quiet charm and excellent advice.
Our thoughts are with Sheila and his family.
